San Marino conta una popolazione di 39.094 cittadini (dati riferiti al dicembre 2007), di cui 26.555 residenti in territorio e 12.539 all'estero (Italia compresa), distribuiti in tutto il mondo e cosଠsuddivisi: 7.828 in Europa, 4.581 nelle Americhe, 12 in Africa, 14 in Oceania, e 103 non specificati. Le nazioni che ospitano un pi๠alto numero di Cittadini sammarinesi sono, in Europa: Italia 5.762, Francia 1.904 e Belgio 62; nel resto del mondo: Stati Uniti d'America, 2.982 e Argentina 1.544. Nelle altre nazioni la presenza di cittadini sammarinesi ਠlimitata a piccoli gruppi o nuclei familiari isolati, il cui trasferimento ਠperಠrilevante per un piccolo Stato come la Repubblica di San Marino. Una peculiarità ਠrappresentata dalla situazione in Brasile, dove esiste un'associazione di 500 discendenti di sammarinesi emigrati alla fine del 1800. In Italia, Francia, Belgio, Stati Uniti e Argentina sono situate le 25 Comunità di Cittadini residenti all'estero, che, a partire dal 1979, godono di autonomia giuridica.
1) Associazione Gente del Titano, fondata nel 1980, ha sede a Rimini. Questa Comunità conta 381 iscritti. Presidente: Nicoletta Corbelli
2) Fratellanza Sammarinese di Roma, fondata nel 1965, ha sede a Roma. Questa Comunità conta 531 iscritti. Il primo presidente della Comunità fu Ciro Galassi. Presidente: Federico Fattori
3) Fratellanza Sammarinese - Comunità della Liguria, fondata nel 1947, ha sede a Genova. Questa Comunità conta 411 iscritti. Il primo presidente della Comunità fu Gino Beleffi. Presidente: Marina Barulli
4) Comunità Sammarinese di Ravenna, fondata nel 1980, ha sede a Ravenna. Questa Comunità conta 401 iscritti. Presidente: Maurizio Ciavatta
6) Comunità dei Sammarinesi del Montefeltro, fondata nel 1991, ha sede a Novafeltria (Pesaro - Urbino). Questa Comunità conta 111 iscritti. Presidente: Ferruccio Battistini
8) Collettività Sammarinese dell'Emilia, fondata nel 1983, ha sede a Bologna. Questa Comunità conta 155 iscritti. Presidente: Paolo Ghiotti
9) Comunità Sammarinese del Veneto, fondata nel 1984, ha sede a Padova. Questa Comunità conta 53 iscritti. Presidente: Elisabetta Nicolini

FRANCIA
1) Comitato d'Assistenza Sammarinese C.O.S.M.A., fondato nel 1933, ha sede a Parigi. Questa Comunità conta 717 iscritti ed ha giurisdizione sui dipartimenti di Dordogne, Nord, Pas de Calais, Paris, Essonne, Haute de Seine, Seine Saint Denis, Val de Marne, Val d'Oise, Yvelines. Il primo presidente della Comunità fu Giuseppe Sebastiano Vallino. Presidente: Jean Claude Boschi
3) Associazione dei Sammarinesi dell'Est della Francia, fondata nel 1938, ha sede a Audun Le Tiche (Metz). Questa Comunità conta 106 iscritti ed ha giurisdizione sui dipartimenti di Doubs, Meurthe et Moselle. Questa Comunità ha una antica storia e nasce attorno ad un nucleo fondante denominato "Casa Nostra", che per alcuni anni sarà il centro di ritrovo dei Sammarinesi. Presidente: Maryse Mularoni
5) Comunità dei Sammarinesi dell'Alsazia e della Lorena, fondata nel 1994, ha sede a Terville (Moselle). Questa Comunità conta 71 iscritti ed ha giurisdizione sui dipartimenti di Doubs, Meurthe et Moselle. Presidente: Fabrice Selva

1) Fratellanza Sammarinese in Belgio, fondata nel 1981, ha sede a La Louviere. Questa Comunità conta 54 iscritti ed ha giurisdizione sull'intero territorio nazionale. Presidente: Giovanni Rossi

1) San Marino Social Club, fondato nel 1938 e Comunità Sammarinese di Detroit, fondata nel 1980 hanno sede a Rochester Hills (Michigan). Questa Comunità conta 1.228 iscritti e fa capo agli Stati del Michigan, Ohio, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, South Carolina, Texas e Wisconsin. Il primo presidente del Social Club fu Lazzaro Para. Presidente: Maria Teresa Maiani Giulianelli
2) Fratellanza Sammarinese di New York, fondata nel 1936, ha sede a Elmont (New York). Questa Comunità conta 542 iscritti e fa capo agli Stati del Connecticut, New Jersey e Rhode Island. Il primo presidente di questa comunità fu Eugenio Reffi. Presidente: Sanzio Vagnini

1) Associazione dei residenti Sammarinesi del Centro-Est dell'Argentina, fondata nel 1992, ha sede a Pergamino (Buenos Aires). Questa Comunità conta 453 iscritti ed ha giurisdizione sull'intera provincia di Buenos Aires. Presidente: Elva Beatriz Massoni Righetti
2) Associazione Sammarinese dell'Argentina, fondata nel 1985, ha sede a Ciudad Perico (Jujuy). Questa Comunità conta 212 iscritti ed ha giurisdizione sulle province di Jujuy e Salta. Presidente: Iolanda Berno Macina
4) Associazione Sammarinese di Cordoba Capital, fondata nel 1994, ha sede ad Altamira (Cordoba). Questa Comunità conta 140 iscritti ed ha giurisdizione sull'intera provincia di Cordoba. Presidente: Mariel del Valle Tura

San Marino has a population of 39.094 citizens (data update to december 2007); 26.555 are resident in San Marino territory and 12.539 are in foreign country all over the world and subdivided in this way: 7.828 in Europe, 4.581 in America, 12 in Africa, 14 in Australia and 103 not specified places. The nations that host a higher number of Sammarinese Citizens are in Europe: Italy 5.762, France 1.904 and Belgium 62; in the other part of the world: USA 2.982 and Argentina 1.544. In the other countries the presence of Sammarinese Citizens is limited, there are only little groups or isolated family. Their move is, however, important for a Small State like Republic of San Marino. A peculiarity is the situation in Brazil, where there is an Association of 500 descendants of Sammarinese people migrated at the end of 1800. The 25 Communities of Sammarinese Citizens resident abroad are situated in Italy, France, Belgium, United States and Argentina. From the 1979 they enjoy their juridical autonomy.
